Guide Join a Team

Joining a Team

Someone invited you to their Scholarly team. Here's what that means and how to get started.

Accepting your invite

  • You'll receive an invite email from Scholarly. Click the link to accept.
  • Sign in with that email address, or create an account using it if you don't have one yet.
  • Once you accept, you fill one of the team's seats and immediately move onto the team's Enterprise plan.

Invites can expire, so accept yours reasonably soon. If your link has expired, ask a team admin to resend it.

What you get

As a team member, every paid Scholarly feature is unlocked for you:

  • All AI tools — flashcards, quizzes, notes, podcasts, AI Video Lectures, slides, Deep Research, AI Meeting Notes, and more.
  • Premium AI models your admins have enabled for the team.
  • No upgrade prompts. You're already on the paid plan, so you won't be asked to subscribe individually.

Your weekly credits

You get your own weekly AI credits, and everything you create draws from them. Your usage is yours alone — it never eats into your teammates' credits, and theirs never eats into yours.

  • Check what's left anytime in Settings → Usage → Weekly credits.
  • Your credits refill every week (Monday at 00:00 UTC).
  • If you're out of credits, wait for the weekly reset on Monday.

For a full breakdown of costs and how credits work, see How AI Credits Work.

Good to know

  • You can be an active member of only one team at a time.
  • Owners and admins manage seats, roles, model access, and billing — see Managing Your Team. As a member, you don't manage these, but you use everything.
  • If an admin removes you from the team, you lose team access and your seat frees up for someone else.
