Refund Policy

30-Day Refund Window

We want you to have enough time to decide whether Scholarly is right for you. If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial subscription purchase. We approve most requests made within this window.

How to Request a Refund

If you wish to request a refund, please email us at hello@scholarly.so within 30 days of your initial purchase. Include the email address associated with your subscription and any details that will help us locate the charge.

A Fair, Case-by-Case Review

You do not need to write a detailed justification. We may ask for information needed to locate the charge, understand a technical problem, confirm eligibility, or prevent fraud. We consider the purchase date, account activity, and the circumstances of the request, and we approve eligible requests in most cases.

When a Refund May Be Declined

We may decline a refund if an account shows extensive or sustained use that demonstrates the subscription has been substantially consumed—for example, creating, downloading, or exporting a large volume of content; making heavy use of AI features or uploads; or using a significant share of the plan's included benefits. We may also decline fraudulent or abusive requests. We review overall use rather than a single action: reasonable evaluation, a few creations, or encountering a technical issue will not by itself make you ineligible.

Processing Times and Scope

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days, although the time needed for funds to appear may vary by payment method and financial institution. This policy applies to initial subscription purchases made directly through Scholarly. Purchases made through a third party are subject to that provider's refund policy.
