Continue Where You Left Off
You rarely finish a 40-minute lecture or a 90-page PDF in one sitting. Scholarly remembers where you stopped and picks up there — on whichever device you sign in from next.

Anything you actually finished opens from the beginning again, as you would expect — a position is only kept while there is something left to come back to.
Opening Something Again
Open the item as normal and it starts where you stopped. A short note tells you where it picked up, with a Start over next to it if you would rather begin again. The note disappears on its own once you start.
Positions belong to your account, not your browser, so a lecture you paused on a laptop resumes at the same second on your phone.
A saved position belongs to the specific file. If a generated file is replaced — you regenerate a lecture, say — the new one starts at the beginning rather than jumping into the middle of something you have not seen.
The Continue Strip on Home
Home opens with a Continue where you left off strip: a compact row of cards for what you have started but not finished, newest first. Each card shows exactly where you stopped and how long ago — minutes remaining on a lecture, the page you stopped on in a document, cards reviewed in a deck.
The strip is hidden entirely when there is nothing to continue, so it never sits there empty.
Progress Bars in Your Library
Every video, podcast, and PDF row in your library, in a folder, and inside a project carries a thin progress bar showing how far you got. It appears on every matching row in a list, however long the list is.
Signed Out
If you open a publicly shared video or podcast without signing in, your place is kept on that device only. It is not attached to an account and does not follow you anywhere else.
Turning It Off
There is no global switch. To clear a single item's position, open it and press Start over — that resets it to the beginning for your account. Deleting the item removes its saved position too.
