Guide Laureate Limits

Laureate Creations and Chat

Scholarly Laureate is the individual plan for people who need more room to create and want our most capable models for their highest-stakes work. It includes everything in Premium, provides 75 creations each week, and adds Frontier Boosts that make Auto substantially smarter.

What Laureate includes

  • 75 AI creations every week.
  • 20 creation Frontier Boosts every week.
  • Unlimited AI Chat with 20 Chat Frontier Boosts every week.
  • Claude Sonnet 5 with low reasoning while the relevant boost remains, then GPT 5.6 Luna with high reasoning.
  • GPT 5.6 Luna with high reasoning for flashcards, without using a boost.
  • Supported Frontier models in creation and research workflows.
  • Unlimited uploads up to 1 GB per file.
  • PDF-to-flashcards support for PDFs up to 3,000 pages.
  • 12 hours of voice chat per day.
  • Priority support from the Scholarly team and early access to newly launched Frontier models.

Laureate is a monthly subscription. The exact Frontier catalog changes over time as new models launch and older models are replaced.

What a Frontier Boost does

A Frontier Boost switches Auto (Laureate) from GPT 5.6 Luna to Claude Opus 5. Turn it off whenever you want Auto to use Luna. When the weekly boosts run out, Auto continues with Luna at high reasoning.

One weekly creation allowance

Every completed AI creation uses one of your 75 weekly creations:

  • Every completed creation reduces the total by one.
  • A creation made with Opus through Auto, or another named Frontier model, also uses one of the 20 creation Frontier Boosts.

Flashcards and other creations made with an unbadged model do not reduce the Frontier Boost pool. If a creation fails, Scholarly automatically returns it to every allowance it used.

With Frontier Boost on, Auto uses Opus while a creation boost remains. With it off—or after the 20 weekly boosts are used—Auto uses Luna at high reasoning.

Chat access

AI Chat is unlimited on Laureate. Frontier Boost on makes Auto use Opus while one of the 20 Chat Frontier Boosts remains; off uses Luna at high reasoning.

Chat boosts are separate from AI creations, so a boosted Chat response never reduces the 75 weekly creations or the 20 creation boosts.

In-progress work and failed creations

Scholarly checks the relevant allowance before a creation starts. Once admitted, the creation is allowed to finish; it is never stopped halfway through because another tab used the last remaining creation.

In-progress work is reserved so concurrent tabs cannot overspend an allowance. If a task fails before completing, that reservation is released automatically.

Resets

  • The total creation allowance, creation Frontier Boosts, and Chat Frontier Boosts reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC.
  • Unused creations do not roll over.
  • Your current usage and reset timing appear in Settings → Billing.

If you use all 20 creation boosts before reaching 75 total, Auto keeps creating with Luna at high reasoning. Once you use all 75 total creations, no further creations are available until the reset.

See your usage

Open Settings → Billing to see:

  • Total creations used out of 75.
  • Creation Frontier Boosts used out of 20 within that total.
  • Chat Frontier Boosts used out of 20.
  • The weekly reset timing.
