Guide Plan with Chat

Plan with Chat

Every AI creator has a Plan with chat button next to its normal next step. It opens a chat right there so you can talk through what you want before anything gets created.

What It Does

  • Sit on the source step of any AI create window — flashcards, quizzes, worksheets, mind maps, study guides, infographics, podcasts, video lectures, AI slides, and the rest — and you'll see Plan with chat next to the button that moves you forward.
  • Press it and a small chat box opens in place, without closing the create window.
  • Type what you're trying to figure out and send it. You're taken into AI Chat with a new conversation that already includes the sources you picked, anything you'd already typed, and your message.
  • From there, talk it through like any chat: the AI can ask clarifying questions, suggest an approach, and create the finished item once you're ready.

When to Use It

If you already know what you want, the normal next step is faster — set your options and generate directly. Reach for Plan with chat when you want to think out loud first: narrowing down a topic, deciding on structure or difficulty, working out what to emphasize, or asking the AI what it would recommend before you commit to a run.

How to Use It

  1. Open any AI creator and select your sources as usual.
  2. Instead of pressing the next step button, press Plan with chat.
  3. Type your question or request and send it.
  4. Continue the conversation in Chat. When you're ready, ask the AI to create it — it builds the result using everything you discussed.
