Sample AI-generated video lecture with chapters, transcript, and flashcards

A narrated video generated from an uploaded document — chapters, captions, and transcript created alongside.

How it works

From process doc to training video in three steps

No video editor, no voice recording, no storyboard. Add the material your team already has and the AI builds the video.

01

Upload your work material

Add up to three files — SOPs, onboarding docs, product guides, policy PDFs, Word docs, or slide decks — or pick a file already in your library.

02

The AI writes and narrates the video

Scholarly reads your material, writes a teaching script from it, and generates animated scenes with natural narration, chapters, and captions.

03

Share it with your team

Send a link, or download a watermark-free MP4 on paid plans. Viewers get chapters, a transcript, and captions — no account setup on your side.

What you get

Training your team will actually watch

A short, narrated explanation of your process — built from your documents, not from generic stock content.

Grounded in your documents

The script comes from the files you upload — your steps, your terminology, your policies — not the open internet. What the video teaches is what your document says.

Chapters, captions, and a transcript

Every video is chaptered so people can jump to the step they need, with captions and a full transcript for viewers who'd rather read or search.

Share with a link

No LMS required. Send a link and your team can watch in the browser; paid plans can download a watermark-free MP4 to host anywhere.

Knowledge checks from the same source

Turn the same document into a quiz or flashcards without re-uploading, so you can check the training landed.

Stays current with your process

When the process changes, update the document and generate a fresh video in minutes instead of re-recording and re-editing.

Ask the source questions

The uploaded material stays in your workspace, so anyone can chat with it and get cited answers when the video raises a question.

Deep dive

How the AI training video generator works

Upload up to three files — SOPs, onboarding guides, process docs, policy PDFs, Word documents, or slide decks — and Scholarly generates a narrated training video with chapters, captions, and a transcript, using only your material. It's free to start; paid plans unlock longer videos and watermark-free MP4 downloads.

Scholarly reads the documents you upload and writes a teaching script directly from them: the steps in your SOP, the rules in your policy, the workflow in your product guide. It then generates an animated, narrated video that explains that material in order, with chapter markers at each major section.

The result is not a slideshow of your pages or an avatar reading them aloud. It's a short explainer that restructures your document into something a new hire or teammate can follow — while the original file stays in your workspace as the source of truth.

What documents work best?

Anything with a process or a body of rules: standard operating procedures, onboarding checklists, product and feature guides, compliance and policy documents, safety procedures, internal wikis exported to PDF, and meeting notes that capture a decision your team needs to absorb.

Text-based files produce the best results. You can combine up to three files into one video — for example an SOP plus the policy behind it — and the AI weaves them into a single narrated explanation.

Generated training vs. recording it yourself

Recording a screencast means writing a script, finding a quiet hour, editing out the mistakes, and re-doing all of it when the process changes. Most teams never get past the first version, so the documentation drifts and the video quietly goes stale.

Generating the video from the document flips that: the document stays the single source of truth, and the video is cheap to regenerate whenever the truth changes. Review it once before you share it — it's grounded in your material, but it represents your process to your team.

Rolling it out to your team

Share the video with a link for browser viewing, or download a watermark-free MP4 on paid plans and put it wherever your team already looks — your wiki, your onboarding checklist, your intranet. Pair it with a quiz generated from the same document when you need to confirm the training stuck.

FAQ

Common questions

What can I make a training video from?

Uploaded PDFs, Word docs, and PowerPoint decks; Google Docs exports; files already in your Scholarly library; or text you paste in. SOPs, onboarding guides, product docs, and policy documents all work — you can combine up to three files into one video.

How long are the videos?

On the free plan, videos are a fixed 2 minutes at 480p or 720p. Paid plans unlock longer lengths and higher quality, so a fuller procedure can get the runtime it needs.

Can I download the video or share it with my team?

Yes. Every video can be shared with a link and watched in the browser with chapters, captions, and a transcript. Paid plans can download a watermark-free MP4 to host in your wiki, LMS, or anywhere else.

Will the video be accurate to our process?

The script is generated only from the material you upload, so it reflects your documents rather than generic internet content. As with anything AI-generated, review the video before rolling it out — it's your process it represents.

Is it free?

You can generate a video on the free plan using your lifetime AI creation credit, with a fixed 2-minute length. Paid plans add weekly creations, longer videos, and watermark-free downloads.
