Direct answer
How do I make a training video in Hindi from an SOP?
Upload the SOP, policy or handbook, set the output language to Hindi, and Scholarly scripts a narrated, chaptered module from those files only, keeping your step order. Viewers watch in a browser with Hindi captions and a searchable transcript.
- What goes in: SOPs, policy PDFs, onboarding handbooks, product guides, enablement decks and recorded walkthroughs. Up to 10 files per module on Premium, 20 on Laureate.
- What comes out: A narrated training module with a chapter per stage, captions and a transcript. Paid plans export a watermark-free MP4 for an LMS, intranet or wiki.
- How Hindi is handled: Narration, on-screen steps and captions are in Hindi. Generate an English version from the same source when a team works in both. Narration uses a Hindi voice, and English terms inside Hindi sentences are kept as English words instead of switching the whole line to English.
- What each plan gets: Free renders one roughly 2-minute module at 720p. Premium includes 15 AI Creation Credits a week, 1080p and target lengths up to 45 minutes. Scholarly Teams adds a shared library and roles.

Narration

How Scholarly handles Hindi
What changes when the output language is Hindi, taken from how the speech and rendering pipeline actually works.
Voice
Narration uses a Hindi voice, and English terms inside Hindi sentences are kept as English words instead of switching the whole line to English.
Script and layout
Devanagari script, left to right, rendered with a Devanagari font on every scene.
Variants in the picker
The picker has one Hindi entry. Ask for Hinglish-style terms in the instructions if your audience says them in English.
Check before you share
Decide which technical words stay in English, such as invoice or compliance, and name them in the instructions so the script is consistent.
Where it is used
Who makes Hindi material like this
Training for teams across India
Turn an English SOP or product deck into a Hindi module for field, support or operations staff, while the English version comes from the same file.
Hindi with English terms
Real Hindi at work mixes in English terms. Keep them in English where that is how people say them, and the narration reads them naturally.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can my source be in English and the output in Hindi?
Yes. The source and the output do not have to share a language. Upload an English PDF, deck or recording, set the output language to Hindi in the creation panel, and the script, text and narration are written in Hindi. Leave the setting on Auto and Scholarly follows the language of the source instead.
Can a Hindi video keep English technical terms?
Yes. Name the terms that should stay in English in the instructions. Hindi narration that quotes English words is still read as Hindi, so the voice does not switch languages mid-sentence.
Can I make a training video in Hindi for free?
Yes, once. The Free plan includes one lifetime AI Creation Credit, which renders a roughly 2-minute Hindi module at 720p, enough to judge it on a real procedure. Paid plans add longer modules, 1080p and MP4 export.
Does it use an avatar or a presenter?
No. Scholarly makes narrated scenes with diagrams and on-screen steps, not a synthetic presenter, and it does not lip-sync a face. If a talking head is a requirement, an avatar tool is the better fit. It also does not track completion or issue certificates, so keep those in your LMS.
Is Scholarly's interface available in Hindi?
Not yet. The app itself is in English or Japanese, but what you create can be in Hindi: pick it once as your default output language in Settings, or per creation in the language row of the creation panel.
