Direct answer
Can AI make flashcards in Spanish from my notes?
Yes. Upload the material, set the output language to Spanish, and Scholarly writes question-and-answer cards from it in Spanish. Review and edit the deck, then study it with SM-2 spaced repetition in Scholarly.
- What goes in: PDFs, typed or handwritten notes, images, slide decks, website links, YouTube videos or pasted text.
- What comes out: An editable deck with a question on the front and a grounded answer on the back, studied with SM-2 spaced repetition. Anki export is on paid plans.
- How Spanish is handled: Cards are written in Spanish, whether the source is in Spanish or in English. To learn Spanish itself, upload your own vocabulary list or course chapter and the cards come from it. Narration is spoken with a Castilian Spanish voice when you pick Spanish or Spanish (Spain), and with a Mexican Spanish voice for every Latin American variant.
- What each plan gets: Free includes one AI Creation Credit and one upload of up to 8 MB. Premium ($30/mo) includes 15 AI Creation Credits a week and uploads up to 300 MB.

Language details
How Scholarly handles Spanish
What changes when the output language is Spanish, taken from how the speech and rendering pipeline actually works.
Voice
Narration is spoken with a Castilian Spanish voice when you pick Spanish or Spanish (Spain), and with a Mexican Spanish voice for every Latin American variant.
Script and layout
Latin script, left to right. Titles, captions and the transcript are written in Spanish along with the narration.
Variants in the picker
The picker lists Spanish plus 17 regional variants, including Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Peru. Pick the one your audience speaks; it shapes vocabulary and the voice.
Check before you share
Product names and acronyms from an English source can be read the English way. Listen to the first minute and add an instruction if a term should be spelled out.
Where it is used
Who makes Spanish material like this
Safety and onboarding for Spanish-speaking crews
In the US, OSHA expects training in a language and vocabulary workers understand. Turn the English SOP into a Spanish module instead of handing out a translated PDF.
Teams across Latin America and Spain
Sales enablement, product training and compliance refreshers for teams in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina or Spain, built from the same source deck as the English version.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can my source be in English and the output in Spanish?
Yes. The source and the output do not have to share a language. Upload an English PDF, deck or recording, set the output language to Spanish in the creation panel, and the script, text and narration are written in Spanish. Leave the setting on Auto and Scholarly follows the language of the source instead.
Does it use Latin American or Castilian Spanish?
Whichever you pick. Spanish and Spanish (Spain) are narrated with a Castilian voice; Spanish (Mexico) and the other Latin American variants are narrated with a Mexican Spanish voice, and the script follows the variant you choose.
Is the Spanish flashcard maker free?
You can try it free: the Free plan includes one AI Creation Credit and one upload of up to 8 MB. Premium includes 15 AI Creation Credits a week, larger uploads and Anki export.
Can I use it to learn Spanish?
Yes, from your own material. Upload the vocabulary list, textbook chapter or class notes you are studying and the cards are written from it, so the deck matches your course. Scholarly does not ship a ready-made Spanish course or word list.
Is Scholarly's interface available in Spanish?
Not yet. The app itself is in English or Japanese, but what you create can be in Spanish: pick it once as your default output language in Settings, or per creation in the language row of the creation panel.
