Direct answer
Can AI turn a document into a podcast in Spanish?
Yes. Upload the document, set the output language to Spanish, and Scholarly scripts a conversation between a host, a producer and a guest from your source. All three speak Spanish, and the transcript and captions follow the episode language.
- What goes in: PDFs, notes, slide decks, website links, YouTube videos and recordings. One source on Free, up to 10 per episode on Premium and 20 on Laureate.
- What comes out: A three-speaker episode with chapters, a clickable transcript and page-level citations, plus a chapter-slide video mode.
- How Spanish is handled: Every voice is multilingual and follows Spanish. The source can stay in English; the conversation is written in Spanish. Narration is spoken with a Castilian Spanish voice when you pick Spanish or Spanish (Spain), and with a Mexican Spanish voice for every Latin American variant.
- What each plan gets: Free makes one episode of about 2 minutes, streamed and shared by link. Premium adds 15 AI Creation Credits a week, episodes up to 60 minutes and MP3 and MP4 downloads.

How Scholarly handles Spanish
What changes when the output language is Spanish, taken from how the speech and rendering pipeline actually works.
Voice
Narration is spoken with a Castilian Spanish voice when you pick Spanish or Spanish (Spain), and with a Mexican Spanish voice for every Latin American variant.
Script and layout
Latin script, left to right. Titles, captions and the transcript are written in Spanish along with the narration.
Variants in the picker
The picker lists Spanish plus 17 regional variants, including Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Peru. Pick the one your audience speaks; it shapes vocabulary and the voice.
Check before you share
Product names and acronyms from an English source can be read the English way. Listen to the first minute and add an instruction if a term should be spelled out.

Who makes Spanish material like this
Safety and onboarding for Spanish-speaking crews
In the US, OSHA expects training in a language and vocabulary workers understand. Turn the English SOP into a Spanish module instead of handing out a translated PDF.
Teams across Latin America and Spain
Sales enablement, product training and compliance refreshers for teams in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina or Spain, built from the same source deck as the English version.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can my source be in English and the output in Spanish?
Yes. The source and the output do not have to share a language. Upload an English PDF, deck or recording, set the output language to Spanish in the creation panel, and the script, text and narration are written in Spanish. Leave the setting on Auto and Scholarly follows the language of the source instead.
Does it use Latin American or Castilian Spanish?
Whichever you pick. Spanish and Spanish (Spain) are narrated with a Castilian voice; Spanish (Mexico) and the other Latin American variants are narrated with a Mexican Spanish voice, and the script follows the variant you choose.
Is the Spanish AI podcast generator free?
You can make one episode free: the Free plan includes one lifetime AI Creation Credit, which makes an episode of about 2 minutes in Spanish. Premium includes 15 AI Creation Credits a week, episodes up to 60 minutes and MP3 downloads.
Can I download the Spanish episode as an MP3?
On a paid plan, yes. Premium and Laureate download the episode as an MP3 for podcast apps or as an MP4 of the chapter-slide video. On Free you can stream it in Scholarly and share it by view link.
Is Scholarly's interface available in Spanish?
Not yet. The app itself is in English or Japanese, but what you create can be in Spanish: pick it once as your default output language in Settings, or per creation in the language row of the creation panel.
