Can AI make flashcards in Arabic from my notes?

Direct answer

Can AI make flashcards in Arabic from my notes?

Yes. Upload the material, set the output language to Arabic, and Scholarly writes question-and-answer cards from it in Arabic. Review and edit the deck, then study it with SM-2 spaced repetition in Scholarly.

  • What goes in: PDFs, typed or handwritten notes, images, slide decks, website links, YouTube videos or pasted text.
  • What comes out: An editable deck with a question on the front and a grounded answer on the back, studied with SM-2 spaced repetition. Anki export is on paid plans.
  • How Arabic is handled: Cards are written in Arabic, whether the source is in Arabic or in English. To learn Arabic itself, upload your own vocabulary list or course chapter and the cards come from it. Narration uses a voice set to Arabic (Saudi Arabia), and the speech engine is told the language explicitly instead of guessing it from the text.
  • What each plan gets: Free includes one AI Creation Credit and one upload of up to 8 MB. Premium ($30/mo) includes 15 AI Creation Credits a week and uploads up to 300 MB.

Language details

How Scholarly handles Arabic

What changes when the output language is Arabic, taken from how the speech and rendering pipeline actually works.

Voice

Narration uses a voice set to Arabic (Saudi Arabia), and the speech engine is told the language explicitly instead of guessing it from the text.

Script and layout

Right to left. On-screen text is set right to left, the layout mirrors, and English terms inside an Arabic heading keep their own word order.

Variants in the picker

The picker has one Arabic entry. There is no separate Egyptian or Gulf dialect option today.

Check before you share

Numbers, product codes and English acronyms inside Arabic sentences are the parts to check first in the first scenes.

Where it is used

Who makes Arabic material like this

Training for teams in the Gulf and MENA

Onboarding, safety and product training in Arabic for teams in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt or Jordan, from the English documents head office already has.

Bilingual Arabic and English material

Keep English product names and technical terms inside Arabic narration and on-screen text, and make the English version from the same file.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can my source be in English and the output in Arabic?

Yes. The source and the output do not have to share a language. Upload an English PDF, deck or recording, set the output language to Arabic in the creation panel, and the script, text and narration are written in Arabic. Leave the setting on Auto and Scholarly follows the language of the source instead.

Does it handle right-to-left text in videos?

Yes. Arabic lectures are laid out right to left, and when a heading mixes Arabic with an English term such as a product name, the English run keeps its order instead of being reversed.

Is the Arabic flashcard maker free?

You can try it free: the Free plan includes one AI Creation Credit and one upload of up to 8 MB. Premium includes 15 AI Creation Credits a week, larger uploads and Anki export.

Can I use it to learn Arabic?

Yes, from your own material. Upload the vocabulary list, textbook chapter or class notes you are studying and the cards are written from it, so the deck matches your course. Scholarly does not ship a ready-made Arabic course or word list.

Is Scholarly's interface available in Arabic?

Not yet. The app itself is in English or Japanese, but what you create can be in Arabic: pick it once as your default output language in Settings, or per creation in the language row of the creation panel.
