Frequently asked questions
Which formats can I make in German?
Narrated video lectures, training videos, three-speaker podcasts, flashcards and quizzes all take German as their output language, and so do study guides, slides, mind maps and documents.
Can I choose between formal and informal German?
Yes. Add a short instruction such as "address the viewer as Sie" or "use du" when you create, and the script follows it throughout.
Can my source be in English and the output in German?
Yes. The source and the output do not have to share a language. Upload an English PDF, deck or recording, set the output language to German in the creation panel, and the script, text and narration are written in German. Leave the setting on Auto and Scholarly follows the language of the source instead.
Is Scholarly's interface available in German?
Not yet. The app itself is in English or Japanese, but what you create can be in German: pick it once as your default output language in Settings, or per creation in the language row of the creation panel.
