How it works

From source to flowchart in three steps

No boxes to drag, no arrows to draw. Add your material and the AI maps the logic.

  1. 01

    Add your sources

Upload PDFs, slides, or docs, pick a file from your library, paste a link, or just type a topic.

  2. 02

    The agent maps the logic

Scholarly reads your material, finds each step and decision point, and lays out the branches that lead to every outcome.

  3. 03

    Study, download, or share

Get a clean flowchart PDF you can read alongside chat, download to print, or turn into flashcards and a quiz.

What you get

A flowchart that mirrors your material

Grounded in your sources, built to help you understand how choices lead to outcomes — not memorize a list.

Real branches and decisions

Yes/no forks and conditional paths are drawn out, so you can trace exactly how each choice changes the result.

Built from your material

The flowchart comes from the files and notes you add — not the open internet — so it matches what you're studying.

Steps in the right order

Each step follows the one before it, so a tangled process becomes a diagram you can follow top to bottom.

Download, print, or share

Every flowchart is a professionally typeset PDF you can download, print, or share with a link.

More study tools, one source

Turn the same material into flashcards, a quiz, a study guide, or a podcast without re-uploading.

Any subject

Decision trees, troubleshooting steps, eligibility rules, algorithms — anything where the path depends on the answer.

Why it helps

Seeing the branches is half of understanding them

When rules and decisions are buried in paragraphs, it's hard to see how one choice changes the outcome. A flowchart pulls them out and draws the paths so the logic becomes visible.

Scholarly's flowchart is an AI agent: it reads your actual sources, identifies the steps and decision points, and connects them into a diagram you can actually follow — not a wall of text to reread.

Because it's grounded in your own material, the flowchart reflects the exact rules your class or manual lays out. Pair it with flashcards or a quiz and you move from recognizing the process to reasoning through it.

FAQ

Common questions

What can I make a flowchart from?

Uploaded PDFs, Word docs, and PowerPoints; files already in your library; Google Drive files; a website or PDF link; or just a typed prompt. You can mix several sources in one flowchart.

What kinds of processes work best?

Anything with steps and decisions — troubleshooting guides, eligibility rules, decision trees, algorithms, and procedures. Wherever the next step depends on an answer, a flowchart makes the logic clear.

Can I download or print my flowchart?

Yes. Every flowchart is a PDF you can download, print, or share with a link, and it lands in your library like any other file.

Is it free?

You can create flowcharts on the free plan using your shared lifetime AI Creation Credit, which does not reset. Paid plans raise those limits and support longer source documents.

Your questions, answered

Is Scholarly free to use?

Yes! The free plan includes core study tools with lifetime allowances: 3 AI Chat messages, 500 autocomplete words, 5 quiz questions, 15 voice minutes, 1 practice exam, one free AI Creation Credit total, and 1 file upload. These allowances do not reset. Upgrade to Premium for 10 AI Creation Credits per week and unlimited uploads.

What uses my free AI Creation Credits?

AI Creation Credits are shared across flashcards, podcasts, videos, slides, AI Documents, Deep Research, and the Transcribe tool. The selected model determines the credit cost. Recording live audio and saving its transcript uses your file upload allowance instead; it does not use AI Creation Credits.

Can I cancel anytime?

Absolutely. There are no contracts or commitments. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, and you'll keep access until the end of your billing period.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Pricing is displayed in USD by default, but local currency is available in the app.

Can I use Scholarly with a class or school?

Yes. For a school or organization-wide rollout, contact us at hello@scholarly.so and we'll help you find the right setup.

What happens when I hit a free plan limit?

You'll see a prompt to upgrade. Your existing work is never lost — limits only apply to new actions. Free-plan allowances are lifetime credits and do not reset. Premium includes 10 AI Creation Credits per week, podcasts up to 60 minutes, video lectures up to 45 minutes, unlimited uploads, chat, autocomplete, quizzes, and exams, plus more daily voice time.
