Direct answer
Can AI write a quiz in Italian from a PDF?
Yes. Upload the PDF, notes or deck, set the output language to Italian, and choose question types and difficulty. Scholarly writes the questions, answer options and explanations in Italian, and each explanation points to the passage it came from.
- What goes in: PDFs, notes, slide decks, pasted text and other files in your library, including scanned pages.
- What comes out: Multiple choice, true/false, short-answer and fill-in-the-blank questions with explanations, plus full-length practice tests on paid plans.
- How Italian is handled: Questions, options and explanations are written in Italian, whatever language the source is in. Narration uses an Italian voice. The speech engine is told the language explicitly instead of guessing it from the text.
- What each plan gets: Free can generate quizzes and answer 5 lifetime practice questions. Paid plans unlock unlimited practice, longer sources and full-length practice tests.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can my source be in English and the output in Italian?
Yes. The source and the output do not have to share a language. Upload an English PDF, deck or recording, set the output language to Italian in the creation panel, and the script, text and narration are written in Italian. Leave the setting on Auto and Scholarly follows the language of the source instead.
Can I choose between formal and informal Italian?
Yes. Add a short instruction such as "address the viewer with Lei" when you create, and the script keeps that form of address throughout.
Is the Italian quiz generator free?
You can start free: Free accounts generate quizzes and answer 5 lifetime practice questions in Italian. Paid plans unlock unlimited practice, longer sources and full-length practice tests.
Which question types can I get in Italian?
Multiple choice, true/false and short answer, plus fill-in-the-blank questions in study and exam modes. All of them, including the explanations, are written in Italian.
Is Scholarly's interface available in Italian?
Not yet. The app itself is in English or Japanese, but what you create can be in Italian: pick it once as your default output language in Settings, or per creation in the language row of the creation panel.
