Praxis Score Release Dates 2026
When do Praxis scores come out in 2026? Core Reading and Math in 7 days, Core Writing in 3 weeks, PLT on fixed Friday dates, plus how to check them.
Praxis scores in 2026 come out on a schedule that depends on the test, not the calendar month: Core Reading (5713) and Core Mathematics (5733) report seven calendar days after your test date, Core Writing (5723) reports about three weeks after, and constructed-response Subject Assessments such as Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT) are batched to fixed Friday release dates, three to seven weeks out depending on where in the window you test. ETS does not publish one master table of 2026 dates; it runs a score reporting calendar tool on its Getting Your Praxis Scores page, and the dates below are what that tool returned on September 3, 2026. Scores post to your Praxis account after 5 p.m. ET on the reporting date, and ETS emails you when the report is ready.
The official 2026 Praxis score reporting schedule
ETS makes two general statements. The 2026-27 Praxis Information Bulletin says Core Reading and Mathematics scores "are available within 7 calendar days after the day of the test" and Core Writing scores "are available 20 business days after the day of the test." The Getting Your Praxis Scores page adds that "Praxis reports scores on Tuesdays and Fridays," and that a holiday on either day pushes reporting to the next Tuesday or Friday. Where those statements and the calendar tool differ, the tool date for your exact test and test date is the one to plan around.
Praxis Core dates
Test center and at-home appointments returned the same date for every Core test we checked. Core Combined (5752) returned the Writing date.

The pattern is exact: Reading and Math land seven calendar days after the test, whatever the weekday, and Writing lands 21 calendar days after. If your date is not in the table, add seven or 21 days, then confirm in the tool.
Constructed-response Subject Assessments
Tests with essays or constructed-response items are not scored on a rolling seven-day cycle. The tool groups test dates into windows and reports each window on a single Friday. These are the windows it returned for PLT: Grades K-6 (5622); PLT: Grades 7-12 (5624) and Middle School Social Studies (5089) matched them on the dates we checked.

Selected-response Subject Assessments such as Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects (5001) behaved like Core Reading: seven calendar days after the test date. Not every title follows that rule: Elementary Education: Content Knowledge (5018) returned October 9, 2026 for a September 8 test, so run yours through the tool.
Unofficial scores at the test center
If your test contains only selected-response questions, you see an unofficial score on screen at the end of the session. Tests with constructed-response questions show nothing, because the written responses still have to be rated. The test center cannot print or email the unofficial score, so write it down. You choose between Report Scores and Cancel Scores before it appears; once viewed, a score cannot be canceled, and for combined tests such as Core Combined (5752) canceling wipes every section.
If no unofficial score appears for a selected-response test, ETS says further analysis is needed before scoring can be completed. That is not a fail; you wait for the official report.
How to check your Praxis score
- Watch for the email. ETS sends a notification on the reporting date once the report is posted.
- Sign in to your Praxis account on praxis.ets.org and open the Score Reports page. Reports appear after 5 p.m. ET on the reporting date.
- Download a copy. Online score reports remain available in your account for ten years from the score reporting date. After ten years the report is gone, so save the PDF now rather than later.
Up to four score recipients chosen at registration get the report free on the same date, and in states that receive scores automatically, the state education agency gets it whether or not you listed it.
What your Praxis score means
Most Praxis Core and Subject Assessment scores fall on a scale of 100 to 200. The report shows your scaled score, the raw points earned in each content category, the range of the middle 50 percent of test takers, your highest score on that test in the past ten years, and a PASSED or NOT PASSED status for each recipient you selected.
Passing scores are not set by ETS. Each state or licensing agency sets its own qualifying score, so the same scaled score can pass in one state and fail in another. If you did not pass:
- You can retake after 28 days. The retake date must be at least 28 days after the previous test date, including for individual subtests and canceled scores.
- Free After 3. For first attempts on or after October 1, 2025, three reported attempts at the same test make you eligible for free retake vouchers, valid for six months.
- Score review is limited. ETS's Score Review Service covers tests with constructed-response questions only, at $65 per test. Selected-response scoring is electronic and cannot be reviewed.
What to do if your score is late
Check the tool date first; a PLT taken in early September is not late until after October 16. Then sign in directly rather than waiting on the inbox, since the notification goes to the address on your Praxis account. If the reporting date has passed and the Score Reports page is still empty, call ETS at 1-800-772-9476 (U.S., U.S. territories and Canada) or 1-609-771-7395 from elsewhere, with your test date and test code ready.
