How it works

Start from the book you have, not the syllabus

Work through a broad exam scope starting from the chapters you are actually reading.

  1. 01

Upload your official textbook or course materials

Strategy, Management, and Technology. For the FE exam, afternoon algorithm explanations too.

  2. 02

Turn terms and calculations into cards

ROI, normalisation, logic circuits, and SQL become fill-in-the-blank cards using your textbook's exact definitions.

  3. 03

    Retest only your weak areas

If you keep missing Technology questions, fix that gap with chapter-level decks.

What you can do

The more an exam asks you to memorise, the less you should do by hand

Spend your time checking whether you can recall definitions, not copying terms into a notebook.

Term cards by category

Make separate sets for business strategy, project management, networks, and databases.

Short answers from past exam explanations

Upload an explanation PDF and get practice questions on the same topics.

Check definitions in your textbook

Ask "Which normal form is this?" and get the answer from the matching section of your book.

Why your own textbook

IT exams are written in the language of the prep book you use

Generic IT vocabulary lists don't match the diagrams and worked calculations your course emphasised.

IT Passport tests breadth of knowledge; the FE exam tests procedures. For both, breaking down the textbook you read gets you closer to the real exam.

After you pass, the same materials work for internal training and explaining IT concepts at work.

FAQ

About IT Passport and the FE exam

Can I use it for both IT Passport and the FE exam?

Yes. It isn't a dedicated question bank for each exam. Everything is created from the textbook you upload.

Does it work for the afternoon algorithm questions?

Upload explanations and pseudocode, and you get cards and explanations that test the procedures. It is not the same IDE environment as the real exam.

Can it create calculation problems?

It can turn worked calculations in your textbook into review questions with changed conditions, or into step-by-step cards.

Can I try it for free?

Yes. Start with one Technology chapter. No credit card required.

Start with the IT textbook you have now

Before you rebuild your vocabulary list, upload the official textbook you already have.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Pricing is displayed in USD by default, but local currency is available in the app.

Can I use Scholarly with a class or school?

Yes. For a school or organisation-wide rollout, contact us at hello@scholarly.so and we'll help you find the right setup.
