What does Scholarly do for professionals?
Scholarly is an AI workspace for work material: upload reports, technical documentation, training content, and meeting notes, then ask questions and get grounded, citation-backed answers. It produces summaries, recaps, slides, podcasts, and certification practice tests from your actual material.
Can I use Scholarly for certification prep?
Yes. Upload the official study guides or course material and Scholarly generates practice tests, flashcards, and summaries from it - so you're studying the actual syllabus, not generic questions. A study schedule keeps prep on track around a full-time job.
Does it handle long technical documents?
Yes. Scholarly is built for long material - 300-page specs, regulatory texts, and full training manuals. Ask questions in plain language and get answers that cite the exact section, so you can verify in context.
Can it turn meetings into notes?
Yes. Record directly or upload audio from meetings, trainings, and webinars. You get a transcript, structured AI notes, and a short recap - and you can ask follow-up questions about anything that was said.
Is my work material private?
Your uploads are private to your account and are not shared with other users. You control your library and can delete your materials at any time.
Can chat produce a file while I keep working?
Yes. Ask chat for a spreadsheet or CSV of looked-up facts, a calendar file of upcoming events, a ZIP of files, a converted or merged document, or a chart pack. Chat hands the work to a task that runs in the background, replies right away, and posts the result in the same chat with the file attached when the task ends. You can keep chatting in the meantime, and you do not need to keep the tab open.
Can I turn a spec or SOP into a 3D model for training?
Yes, in Beta. Start a 3D model from the PDF and ask chat to build what it describes, such as a product's components, a piece of equipment, or the stages of a process. Scholarly's AI reads the pages, labels each part from what they say, and returns a draft you preview before it is applied. A full build uses 1 AI Creation Credit; small edits such as a label's wording or a colour are free. On a paid plan, export a 4K or transparent PNG for slides, a turntable MP4 for video, or a .glb file that opens in PowerPoint and Keynote. Models are explanatory, not CAD-accurate, with no STL or OBJ export.

Is Scholarly free to use?
Yes! The free plan includes core study tools with lifetime allowances: 3 AI Chat messages, 500 autocomplete words, 5 quiz questions, 15 voice minutes, 1 practice exam, one free AI Creation Credit total, and 1 file upload. These allowances do not reset. Image Studio and chat also share 2 lifetime images during beta; this separate Free allowance does not reset and may change. Upgrade to Premium for 15 AI Creation Credits per week and unlimited uploads.
What uses my free AI Creation Credits?
AI Creation Credits are shared across flashcards, podcasts, videos, slides, AI Documents, Deep Research, and the Transcribe tool. The selected model determines the credit cost. Recording a meeting does not use an AI Creation Credit. Transcript and notes are included, up to 10 hours on paid plans.
Can I cancel any time?
Absolutely. There are no contracts or commitments. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, and you'll keep access until the end of your billing period.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Pricing is displayed in USD by default, but local currency is available in the app.
Can I use Scholarly with a class or school?
Yes. For a school or organisation-wide rollout, contact us at hello@scholarly.so and we'll help you find the right setup.
What happens when I hit a free plan limit?
You'll see a prompt to upgrade. Your existing work is never lost. Limits only apply to new actions. Most Free allowances are lifetime limits. The separate beta image allowance includes 2 lifetime images on Free with no reset, 40 per week on Premium, and 80 per week on Laureate. Limits may change during beta. Premium includes 15 AI Creation Credits per week, podcasts up to 60 minutes, video lectures up to 45 minutes, unlimited uploads, chat, autocomplete, quizzes, and exams, plus more daily voice time.
