How it works

Start from the QB you are already working through, not a new question book

The national exam is about volume. Spend the time you would use writing cards by hand on more rounds of recall.

  1. 01

Upload your QB, prep course PDFs, and your own notes

Organ systems, required (hisshu) topics, or public health all work. The edition you use is the one that counts.

  2. 02

Turn findings and differentials into cards

First-line treatments, contraindications, key values, and diagnostic criteria are broken down using the wording in your text.

  3. 03

Repeat only the organ systems you miss

If you are strong in cardiology but keep missing public health, you can fix that imbalance deck by deck.

What you can do

The national exam comes down to how many times you recalled what you read

Questions drawn from the wording of your own QB stick better than importing someone else's entire deck.

Flashcards by organ system

Create cards on findings, tests, and treatments from prep course handouts and QB explanations.

Exam-style review questions

Generate short-answer and multiple-choice questions on the details of a clinical vignette, built from the explanations you uploaded.

Go back to the supporting page

Ask "why this antibiotic?" and get a citation to the relevant passage in your PDF.

Why your own QB

You score on the national exam in the language of the course you use

Shared Anki decks are convenient, but they do not match the charts your course emphasised this year or the QB explanations for questions you got wrong.

Required (hisshu) and general questions ask about the same disease at different levels of detail. Breaking down your own notes keeps that level of detail.

Once you start your initial residency, you can keep using the same materials to review cases. It is not a deck you throw away after the exam.

FAQ

About preparing for the Japanese medical licensing exam

Which QB series do you support?

We are not tied to a specific edition. Upload the QB explanations, prep course PDFs, and notes you already have.

Can it create image-based questions?

If you upload PDFs with images or photos, they can be used to describe findings in words and build review cards. It is not a replica of the exam's image viewer.

Can it replace shared decks?

It is not a service that hands out someone else's finished deck. It converts the material you have read into a form you can recall.

Can I try it for free?

Yes. Start with the handout for one organ system. No credit card required.

Start with the QB you are working through now

Before you look for a new deck, upload the explanations you already have.

No credit card required
