Direct answer

Can AI write a quiz in Dutch from a PDF?

Yes. Upload the PDF, notes or deck, set the output language to Dutch, and choose question types and difficulty. Scholarly writes the questions, answer options and explanations in Dutch, and each explanation points to the passage it came from.

  • Free plan: Generate Dutch quizzes from one upload (up to 8 MB; the first 32 pages of a PDF are read) and answer 5 practice questions for life. No credit card.
  • Paid plans: Paid plans remove the 5-question practice limit. Premium includes 15 AI Creation Credits a week and uploads up to 300 MB; Laureate includes 80 credits a week.
  • What goes in: PDFs, notes, slide decks, pasted text and other files in your library, including scanned pages.
  • What comes out: Multiple choice, true/false, short-answer and fill-in-the-blank questions, each with an explanation.
  • How Dutch is handled: Questions, options and explanations are written in Dutch, whatever language the source is in. Narration is spoken by a multilingual voice that is told to speak Dutch, or Dutch (Belgium) when you pick it, instead of guessing the language from the text.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can my source be in English and the output in Dutch?

Yes. The source and the output do not have to share a language. Upload an English PDF, deck or recording, set the output language to Dutch in the creation panel, and the script, text and narration are written in Dutch. Leave the setting on Auto and Scholarly follows the language of the source instead.

Does it support Flemish?

For the script, yes: Dutch (Belgium) is its own entry in the picker, and the narrator is told Dutch (Belgium) by name. Listen to the first minute if a Flemish accent matters.

Is the Dutch quiz generator free?

You can start free: Free accounts generate quizzes in Dutch and answer 5 lifetime practice questions. Paid plans remove that limit and take larger uploads.

Which question types can I get in Dutch?

Multiple choice, true/false and short answer, plus fill-in-the-blank questions in study and exam modes. All of them, including the explanations, are written in Dutch.

Is Scholarly's interface available in Dutch?

Yes. Scholarly's interface is available in Dutch: choose ⁨Nederlands⁩ as your app language in Settings › Appearance › App language, and new accounts open in it when your browser asks for it. What you create has its own output language: pick Dutch once as your default in Settings, or per creation in the language row of the creation panel.
